When Nixon was Govenor of California they had an outstanding credit rating, the schools were the best in the country and we didn't have 20 million illegal aliens in California. There were plenty of JOBS for Americans in California, and he never turned the electricity off, like Grey Davis did...you stupid bastard.

I see why slobs like you HATE NIXON.

What will happen to your lies when you die?

NIXON has more class than all the DUMBOCRAPS in the US Government.

I hope you blow a gasket...

Tricky Dick was only a Senator from CA for two short yrs...check yer facts. Lost his bid for the gubernor spot. Folks recalled his treatment of Helen G. D.

Yes I am a bastard......and one you'd never want to meet face to face buster.

And as the good Gentlemen Will Tell and DeadRed1971 pointed out you baked half-wit, Dicky Boy was NEVER Governor of Cali.
You must rely on Wikipeepee too much. Pick up a book sometime and read it.....you just might remember something.

Maybe mommy could read you a bed time story to help?

I grew up in Nixon's birthplace
Went to Richard M Nixon Elem. school for a year
Shook the man's hand twice
I grew up surounded by Nixonites
Ive studied my history well
The man was a sociopath
And so were many of the men he hired

Yep; my old man was the most arch conservative you'd meet (though he mellowed as he aged and was "apolitical" prior to his passing), but as a kid I couldn't understand why he HATED Tricky Dick...early 60s...just seemed a contradiction for his views otherwise.

As I learned more I came to understand...LBJ was more of a contradiction. Sure he was power hungry, good ol boy, with a great grasp of how the (old boy) system worked, and amazingly, initiated a few good plans, and was cautious about Nam to begin with, but Dick really had some significant emotional issues it seems to me. They both could be ruthless, but LBJ could grasp the meaning of public responsibility on some issues.

Ya, my old man is headed the same apolitical way. Still quite conservitive but accepting of a larger picture with age. However, the recent cancelation of the Pres. helicopter program got his political ire up like I havent seen for many years. He was a lead project manager, contracted thru Lockheed, on that project and worked very hard at it. I felt compelled to mention to him both Gates and McCain were in favor of cancelation. It was a Naval cost overrun thing and he knows that.
Sociopath was a bit blunt of me, of course it's more complex than that. Both men were complicated. LBJ definatly a good ol boy, Bechtel boy, but cared about poverty and I think was capable of remorse and yes, public responsibility. Dick on the other hand, at least publicly, was lacking empathy and a sense of remorse. i.e. " if the pres. does it, it's not wrong." Emotional problems for sure, paranoia, self esteem issues. The old boy was just "ate up". Did some good concerning environmental issues though. So complicated. I wouldnt wish the Presidential job on anyone.
I, for one, believe we live in a corpratocracy. The rest is politricks. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

Nixon was never Governor of California. He lost in his only bid for the job by 300,000 votes.
